๐Getting to the Stadium: SoFi Stadium
SoFi Stadium is in Inglewood, about 5 miles from LAX. On match days, Metro runs the C Line (Green) to Hawthorne/Lennox station, then free shuttles to the stadium. Uber and Lyft work but expect surge pricing after matches. If you fly into LAX, you can reach the stadium area in 15-20 minutes without traffic โ but LA traffic is never absent. Consider renting a car if you plan to explore the city beyond match days.
๐ Where to Stay
Santa Monica is the top pick โ beach town vibes, great restaurants, and the Metro Expo Line connects you to downtown. Venice Beach is walkable from Santa Monica and has cheaper motels. Downtown LA has modern hotels near the Metro, good for getting around without a car. Hollywood is tourist-heavy but central. For budget options, look at Culver City or El Segundo, both near the stadium.
๐ดFood & Drink
LA is a taco city. Grand Central Market downtown has incredible food stalls โ try Tacos Tumbras a Tomas. For Korean BBQ, hit Koreatown on Western Ave. In-N-Out Burger is a California must. Near the stadium in Inglewood, the Market at SoFi has solid options, but eating before you arrive saves money. Santa Monica's Third Street Promenade has every cuisine imaginable.
โWeather
LA in summer is dry and warm. Expect 24-30ยฐC (75-86ยฐF) with almost zero rain. Mornings can be foggy near the coast (June Gloom) but it burns off by noon. Sunscreen is non-negotiable. SoFi Stadium has a canopy roof that provides some shade but it's open-air โ you'll feel the heat at daytime matches.
