๐Getting to the Stadium: Levi's Stadium
Levi's Stadium is in Santa Clara, about 40 miles south of San Francisco. Caltrain runs from SF's 4th & King station to the stadium on match days โ the ride takes about 70 minutes. VTA light rail (Green Line) also stops at Great America station, a short walk from the venue. From SFO airport, take BART to Milpitas then VTA, or just Uber (30-40 minutes). From San Jose (SJC), it's only 10 minutes by car.
๐ Where to Stay
San Francisco itself is the most interesting place to stay โ try the Marina, North Beach, or SoMa. You'll have restaurants, bars, and cable cars, but plan 90+ minutes to reach the stadium. For convenience, stay in downtown San Jose โ it's close to Levi's Stadium and has its own dining scene. Mountain View and Palo Alto (Silicon Valley) split the difference. Budget pick: Milpitas, near BART and VTA connections.

San Francisco's food scene is world-class. Chinatown is the oldest in North America โ dim sum at City View is a must. Mission District has the best burritos (La Taqueria or El Farolito, pick your side). Fisherman's Wharf is touristy but clam chowder in a bread bowl is still fun. In San Jose near the stadium, San Pedro Square Market has craft beer and good eats. Anywhere in the Bay Area, try the sourdough.
โWeather
San Francisco summer is famously cool and foggy โ 15-21ยฐC (59-70ยฐF). Bring a jacket, even in July. But Santa Clara (where the stadium is) is much warmer โ 27-33ยฐC (80-91ยฐF) with no fog. The temperature difference between SF and the stadium can be 15ยฐC. Levi's Stadium has no roof, so bring sun protection for daytime matches.
